Sienna Rose is an anonymous rhythm-and-blues artist, who is a vocalist that specializes in a genre rooted in the African-American community. She gained massive popularity on Spotify in early 2026 and had over 4 million monthly listeners, having viral hits like “Into the Blue,” “Softest Truth,” and “In This Moment.” Things were going great for this artist, that is, until people started noticing the small things.
Rose has no social media presence, has never played a gig, has no videos, and has released a questionable number of songs in a short space of time. It took her less than 4 months, September 28 to December 5, to release at least 45 tracks to streaming services. Even an artist such as Prince, who was known for his creative frenzy, would struggle to have matched that amount of tracks. This is when people started really questioning if Sienna was even real.
Sienna Rose had an Instagram account, recently deactivated, that she would post on, where people were realizing that the “videos” of her would often have things that were unusual compared to a normal person. Things such as her hair having odd motions, her teeth would blend together, and her clothes would move in weird movements. All these things led to people confirming she was, in fact, AI.
All over the world people were highly disturbed by the fact that music so beautifully written could’ve been made by AI. This was especially disturbing towards musicians. When asked her thoughts over this imposing “artist”, Guadalupe Hernandez, band director of Holcomb School District, said, “After listening to her single, ‘Softest Truth,’ I did not hate it. I loved the jazzy/soulful vibes going on, and really nice vocals. I would have never known if this artist or music was AI by just listening to it. I do like the music, but it is quite conflicting to know it is AI.”
She is not the only one conflicted by this. David Bright, choir director of HMS and HHS, gave his opinion, “I think it is amazing what the tech is. If you had blindfolded me, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. She isn’t even a real person. On the cover she looked pretty and she looked real. If I walked into a bar and saw her, I’d think she’d be like any other person.”
One HHS student, answering anonymously, said, “It was very soothing. It reminded me of Olivia Dean and Ariana Grande.” And another had said, “I am curious as to what prompts were put in the AI generator and how much of the song was the AI’s original idea.” People were mainly surprised and disturbed by the fact this artist is AI. Though overall, everyone said that art made by AI is not as legitimate as art made by humans.
Perhaps AI isn’t taking over human artists, though who’s to say how AI might evolve.
