Traveling Guide: Cancún

by Jordan Roth

Cancùn is a Mexican City on the Yucatan Peninsula on the coast of the Caribbean sea. Cancùn is a popular tourist destination, and is consistently warm, as it’s around 85 degrees most of the year. There are a lot of different things you can do there, including ziplining, swimming, snorkeling, and exploring the area.

I thought that this was an interesting place, so I decided to interview Tyler Long, a sophomore at Holcomb, about it, since he went there last summer. I first asked him what he did during his stay, and he said that he went to a resort there, swam with dolphins, then he went on one of the fastest boats in the world. He also went snorkeling, ziplined, and went on a “sea trek”. A sea trek is where you walk on the ocean floor with a helmet like the bad guy in “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie” wore. He says that his favorite part out of the vacation was swimming with dolphins. He says that what he recommends to anybody else that may go to Cancún is to zipline and go to the underwater caves.

Cancun is a good place to go on vacation, and it seems like Tyler had a fun time, and he would recommend other people to go to.
