My Opinion on COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates

by McKee Blackburn

Some vaccines do the job. The COVID vaccine, however, does not sound promising to me. We are told that the vaccine is good, and that there are so many good things coming from it. The government always says that each shot will be the last one, and then they add another that is supposedly “needed” to get past all of this. There are now three, including the booster. A booster shot is an extra dose after the immunity of the vaccine has started to decrease. I’m sure more doses will just keep coming as long as people go along with it. The government has pushed this vaccine like nothing we’ve seen before.

A vaccine can’t be good if they are trying to persuade kids to get the shots without their parents permission. Big game tickets, money, and lottery tickets have all been offered to people to try and coax people into getting the vaccine. That doesn’t make sense. If someone doesn’t want to get it, that’s their choice, and they should be respected. At one point, Joe Biden made a mandate in which all private businesses with 100 or more employees had to get vaccinated. That mandate was recently blocked on January 13, 2022.

The government shouldn’t have control over non-government businesses. Businesses should be able to decide what’s best for them. Although the private business vaccine mandate was blocked, the vaccine mandate for healthcare facilities still stands.
