Jayhawk football: The “little brother” to the K-State Wildcats. The Jayhawks have been known widely as mediocre-to-trash most years during the fall, and this year is no different. Right now, on the season, they are 1-4, with their only win coming against South Dakota State, an FCS school (FCS is less competitive with less ratings than FBS), winning by 3 points.
Now, let’s talk about those losses. In week 2, KU squared-off against #15 Coastal Carolina, getting smacked in a 25 point loss, 49 to 22. Week 3 was worse, as Kansas got demolished by Baylor, 45 to 7. Week 4, against another “basketball school” in Duke, they didn’t do too bad, only losing 52 to 33. Week 5, was the worst week for those poor Jayhawks, getting beat badly by rival Iowa State, 59-7.
After viewing Kansas’ schedule for the rest of their season, I believe it’s safe to say that it can’t turn around. They cannot beat any of the other teams in the Big 12. The only bright spot for KU is their offense, hopefully they build off of that. My advice for Kansas: stick to basketball.
